Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Junior QA Engineer at Intalio, you will work with both manual and automated testing processes to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will assist in developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Execute various types of tests, including regression, functional, and integration testing.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and design specifications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues. Work closely with development teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks. Learn and apply automation tools to improve testing efficiency.
  • Work with product managers, developers, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
  • Assist in generating test reports and metrics. Communicate test results and findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes and methodologies. Provide suggestions for enhancing testing practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant internships or projects related to QA are a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with exposure to both manual and automated testing.
  • Basic understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks. Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to identify, reproduce, and document issues.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is beneficial.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey issues and work collaboratively with team members.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to performance testing and related tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
