Job Overview:

The DevOps Lead oversees the product development pipelines for all our products, as well as the processes and tools that eventually lead to successful and smooth deployment on the production servers, or issuance of deployment packages. He ensures all efforts from the development and QC teams are integrated, streamlined and properly integrated to guarantee smooth version releases for all our products.

Qualifications & Prerequisites:

·       Deep and thorough understanding of the necessities and prerequisites of deploying and running software solutions.

·       Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.

·       Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration.

·       Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar solutions.

·       Advanced scripting to automate DevOps tasks.

·       Version Control: Strong command of Git and GitLab, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.

·       Capable of setting up the CI/CD and automation platforms that will empower the reduction of release cycles.

·       Excellent knowledge in:

o   Jenkins

o   Operating Systems: Linux

o   DBs: SQL Server, Postgres, mySQL. Oracle is a plus

o   Web Servers: IIS, Ngnix and Tomcat

o   Others: Elastic Search and Kibana

·       Strong command of hardware topologies and pre-requisites including OS patches, security measures, capacity management, etc...

·       Familiar with the software development processes and methodologies

·       Capable of providing technical support to internal teams.

·       Able to coach and mentor his or her team towards optimum performance

·       Willing to operate in a dynamic environment and assume unplanned roles and activities.

·       Computer Science degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) or equivalent

Main Duties:

1.       Designs and enforces the DevOps standards and requirements

2.       Support squads in the implementation and operation of automated CI/CD activities

3.       Design and implement the tools and their required integration to allow the automation of builds and deployment on production servers

4.       Provide technical support to squads and engage in troubleshooting when there are malfunctions in the build process or in the performance of the system.

5.       Provide the recommendations on the minimum hardware and software requirements for optimum performance of the system.

6.       Provide second level support to the support team when tickets cannot be resolved by them.
