Core Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Design and Implementation
• Develop and deploy IT infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Configure and manage servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
2. Maintenance and Monitoring
• Monitor infrastructure performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and security protocols.
3. Cloud and Virtualization Management
• Manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
• Deploy and oversee virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Optimize resource utilization in virtualized and cloud environments.
4. Network Management
• Configure and secure LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Manage firewalls, routers, and switches for secure connectivity.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.
5. Security and Compliance
• Implement cybersecurity measures to protect against threats.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement solutions.
6. Technical Support
• Provide Level 2/3 support for complex infrastructure issues.
• Document infrastructure changes and maintain technical records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless IT integration.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Technical Proficiency:
• Operating systems: Windows Server, Linux, macOS.
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs.
• Storage: SAN, NAS, RAID configurations.
• Tools: Monitoring tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or Zabbix.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues effectively.

Education and Certifications
